1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup?

-Ásta: Ég var u.þ.b. 14 ára þegar ég byrjaði að nota maskara og púður við og við. Ég hafði ekki áhuga á förðun á þessum aldri en ég hef alltaf hugsað "less is more" / I was about 14 years old when I started using mascara and face powder every other day. I wasn't interested in makeup at that age but I've always thought that less is more.

-Linda: Um 13 ára aldur fór ég að ganga með maskara dagsdaglega, og þótti afskaplega smart að vera með skærbláan maskara og bláan eyeliner í stíl, svaka smart gella! / When I was 13 I started wearing only mascara on a daily basis. I also wore a lot of bright blue mascara and a blue eyeliner at that time! *horror*

2. How did you get into makeup?

-Ásta: Þegar ég var 16 ára fór ég að hanga á Youtube tímunum saman að horfa á alls kyns myndbönd og lenti eitt skiptið á bjútí-gúrú undir nafninu panacea81. Hún heillaði mig alveg svakalega! / At 16 I started watching a lot of videos on Youtube and one day I stumbled upon panacea81's youtube page and she blew me away with her makeup skills!

-Linda: Áhuginn hefur blundað í mér lengi, alveg frá því ég var krakki og makaði öllu sólarpúðrinu hennar mömmu yfir andlitið á mér, haldandi að ég væri voða smart. En þegar ég var um 16/17 ára fór ég virkilega að sökkva mér í förðun, horfa á youtube myndbönd og svona. / Since I was a kid I was always interested in make-up, but when I was 16/17 I really got in to make-up. Started watching a lot of youtube videos and experimenting with make-up. 

3. What are some of your favorite brands?

-Ásta: MAC er alveg uppáhalds! Make Up Store er líka með flotta og góða augnskugga. / MAC is my no.1 favorite! Make Up Store also has good eyeshadows.

-Linda: mac er klárlega í uppáhaldi! Svo er ég líka hrifin af revlon, maxfactor (bestu maskararnir). / mac cosmetics are my favorite. But I also like drugstore products like Revlon and MaxFactor (they have the best mascaras).

 
4. What does makeup mean to you?

-Ásta: Það er mín leið til að sýna fólki minn persónuleika. / It's my way to show people my personality.

-Linda: I honestly don't know, cant think of anything! haha

5. If you could only wear 4 products on your face what would they be?

-Ásta: Rakakrem, varalitur, kinnalitur og maskari. / Moisturizer, lipstick, blush and mascara.

-Linda: Litað dagkrem, hyljari, maskari og varalitur. / Tinted moisturizer, concealer, mascara and a lipstick.

6. What is your favorite thing about makeup?

-Ásta: Finnst æðislegt hvað það eru til margir litir. Sérstaklega þegar kemur að varalitum! / I love how many different colors there are. Especially when it comes to lipsticks!

-Linda: Að geta dregið fram það fallega í okkur öllum *klisjukennt* / That we are able to bring out the most beautiful in us all *so cliché*

7. What do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end makeup?

-Ásta: Mér finnst vera hægt að gera mjög góð kaup í apótekum. Ég er ekki snobb þegar kemur að förðunarvörum. / I think you can make some awesome buys at drugstores. I'm not a snob when it comes to makeup :)

-Linda: Mér finnst alltaf gaman að prófa eitthvað nýtt, og ég blanda þessu saman, nota ekki einungis high end vörur! / I've always liked to try something new and different, so I tend to switch up what products I use, I don't only stick to the high end products.

8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?

-Ásta: Minna er meira! / Less is more!

-Linda: Ditto!

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood?

-Ásta: Þegar konur nota dökkan varablýant og ljósan varalit.. / When women wear a dark lip liner with a light lipstick..

-Linda: Sammála Ástu, svo líka finnst mér óklæðilegt að nota bláan maskara! / I agree with Ásta, but I personally hate blue mascara, it doesn't suit anyone imo even though I went through a phase where I used it as a teenager!

10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube?

-Ásta: Það er æðislegt! Hef lært svo ótrúlega margt af YouTube! / I love it! I've learned so much from it!
